Calling all Freemasons

We have received the following email from Robyn Murdo-Smith who is trying to find other Freemasons within BP.

Robyn writes: ‘Back in the 1930s the St George Abadan Lodge No. 6058 was consecrated in Abadan, Iran by BP oil workers along with other Lodges set up in similar ways by those working in the oil industry.

‘Eventually these Lodges re-located to the UK and as far as I can tell there are only two left: St George Abadan and St George Bahrain. My own St George Abadan Lodge, of which I am currently the Master, meets in Chatham, Kent and St George Bahrain meets in Ashford.

‘During my year in office I am trying to find other Freemasons within BP, both still working and retirees, who may not know that we even exist. I would like to extend an invitation for them to visit us and, ideally, come along with their significant others for one of our very popular ‘White Table’ events. The next one is at Christmas when our Carols sing-along will be led by a Military Wives Choir.’
